I am a research associate at Data Mining Group of the Institute for Computer Science of the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. My main research interests are Machine Learning and Data Mining and its applications in Bioinformatics, Cheminformatics, and Computational Sustainability. I did my PhD at the Technical University of Munich and wrote my PhD thesis on Large Classifier Systems in Bio- and Cheminformatics. Before doing my PhD, I did my undergraduate studies in Bioinformatics at the Technical University of Munich and Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich.
